We often get questions from our customers about how they can get their seven pole on their vehicle to work with different types of trailers.What we're looking at here is a four and five-pole adapter, so this is going to allow you to use the standard four-pole plug that you're going to find on most utility trailers. This is going to have your ground, running lights, left turn and brake signal, and right turn and brake signal. You can also see we've got our fifth pole here. Today we're going to be taking a look at Maxxtow's seven way to four way trailer connector adapter. This adapter is going to allow you to take your seven pole connector that's on your vehicle and convert it to a four pole connector. This can be useful for a lot of different reasons. As our example that we have here, our trailer only has a four pole connector, so the only way we can get those lights to work on our trailer is by using an adapter.Another common use is to use this for your flat tow setup. If you don't have a breaking system installed in your vehicle, and you just have lights, you only have a four pole connector on your vehicle, and you only have your seven pole here on your RV. In order to get those lights to work on your vehicle, we can use this adapter, it can stretch out to reach the cable that's on our vehicle, and provide us with that necessary lighting.Or, if you do have an all-removable type flat two setup where you're using a removable breaking system, like the Patriot and magnetic lights, this can be a great option to get those magnetic lights powered up. more

This fits all Chevrolet and GMC trucks that have this style hitch and this bracket right here.Now this is a great replacement for your original connector, like this one right here, which is getting sun damage, and the plastic get brittle over time. Or a lot of times, I see these guys just smashed. One thing you really don't see, it's hard to tell, but inside these pins here, you'll end up getting with corrosion inside there. At that point, there's nothing that you can do but replace it, and that's where Hopkins part comes into play.Same as the original connector. more

So you'll notice right here, we have positive side, negative side.To gain access to the back of that plug to connect the trailer wiring leads, basically you would take your leads and you'd place them all the way through here. You'd remove this set screw all the way and that allows the front of the unit to come out completely, push the wiring through, make your connections, place the front back in, reinstall the set screw and then back here, this screw controls an internal strain relief bracket that you can tighten down to secure the wiring so it doesn't accidentally get pulled on or pulled out and just helps reduce the amount of strain placed on the connection points and internally.But that's gonna do it for today's look at the Two-Way Die Cast Zinc Trailer Connector for the trailer side.. more

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hopkins endurance four-way flat trailer wiring harness that's 30 feet long, part number HM48265.If you're looking to rewire your trailer because of maintenance, the wires may be getting old, or if you're building a trailer and need to wire it up, our Hopkins endurance four-pole flat wiring harness is gonna be a good choice. It is gonna provide us with a four-pole flat trailer connector, making it easy to hook up to our towing vehicle. It's gonna have a wishbone Y design, which means that we're gonna have our left brake and turn signal along with our taillight signal as separate from our right brake and turn signal and another taillight signal, so we're not gonna have to worry about jumping across the trailer. It's gonna be extremely easy to hook up. You just run one side, run to the other side, and we have all our light functions going to each side. The ground wire is gonna be 36 inches long, so we're gonna have plenty of room to find a nice grounding point towards the front of our trailer.The total length of the harness is gonna be 30 feet, which will be more than enough for this small boat trailer. more

Curt 7-Way RV-Style Trailer Connector Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT seven-way RV style trailer connector for the vehicle end, part number C58155. So here's what our seven-way wiring connector is gonna look like once we have it installed. We chose to mount it in our truck bed for fifth wheel and gooseneck wiring, although you can mount it at the back of your car for a replacement or an addition to have your trailer connected. It's gonna have a nice, spring-loaded door, so we're not gonna have to worry about closing it. It will close on its own, as well as a nice seal to keep all the moisture and debris from getting inside of our connector.It's a seven-way connector, so it is gonna give us all of our lighting functions, brakes, taillights, turn signals, reverse lights, as well as a 12-volt power source and our trailer brakes if we have a controller installed. A nice feature is it does have that latch like most seven-way connectors to, so once you plug in your connector and this door closes on top, it'll keep it from coming out. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking look at the easy connectors male to female adapters. For your seven way, part number 319-R7-52 for your six way, part number 319-R7-56, for your five way, part number 319-R7-55 and finally for your four way, it's going to be part number 319-R7-54.So here are our trailer ends, we've got a standard seven blade connector. On our vehicle end, we've got a magnetic easy connector seven way. No problem, this is where our easy connector to seven way comes in handy.With it in place, we're able to use any standard seven way connector. Now, if you have a six pole connection, such as for flat towing, it's going to have all the same features and you're going to have the correct adaptor.The same goes for our five and four pole connections, keep in mind though, you may not want to keep it in place when it's not in use, as the connection points are exposed.This is going to come in handy when towing multiple trailers, some of which don't have an easy connector.With that it place, it's going to offer you the same magnetic connectivity as an easy connector.
